CARAMELLA

Est. 1988 Brighton

Our family run sweet shop, Caramella, was established in 1988. It is situated in the vibrant area of Brighton called the North Laine, which is known as the city's bohemian quarter and is full of small individual shops, cafes and antique markets (it is not part of 'The Lanes', which lie to the south). You can find us in Kensington Gardens, a pedestrianised street whose independent shops are typical of the North Laine.

We sell most of our sweets by weight as pick-and-mix, but also offer a number of prepacked products. Many of our sweets are old favourites that are no longer as widely available as they once were. We pride ourselves on offering the original varieties of these brands (rather than cheaper copies that are often inferior).

Customers come back to us again and again because we take care to select top-quality varieties of all our sweets. For example, we think our Dutch Liquorice is among the best examples of liquorice that you will find. We have a much wider range of sweets and chocolates (including a large sugar-free range) than is featured on this website.
